I am not a fan of Realtek ALC AC'97 audio, but I have to admit that a8vv have raised their standards with the release of the 7. While we did receive several prototypes with impressive performance and a working lock, Asus US did not give us the go-ahead that these interim designs would ever become production boards.
Still, for a high-end board like the A8V Deluxe, a little style and just a touch of bling wouldn't hurt. Now, if AMD is comfortable with picky journalists judging its newest multi-million dollar CPU roll-out on an ASUS board, then that certainly underscores something consumers should be taking note of.

The overclocking controls are excellent in their range as we have come to expect on Asus boards. It's nice of Krogoth to fill in for Chuckula over the holidays.
